For some people, a meditation cushion is a comfortable alternative to a meditation stool or chair. It is good for the kneeling position in meditation.
These custom-made, large meditation cushions have a cover that is made from black, heavy-duty cotton drill, and each has a reinforced handle. Because of their size, they have more height than some cushions for sitting, which can be beneficial. They have a velcro closing strip for easy refilling. There is no inner liner. Made in Australia.
Each zafu has a diameter of approximately 45cm (large) and weighs approximately 3.3 kg when filled with buckwheat hulls. Over time, the buckwheat hulls will naturally compact. Top up with more to suit your comfort.

Care of your new zafu: store buckwheat hulls and zafus in a dry place. Spot clean. Avoid wetting the cushion excessively.
They are commonly used in conjunction with a padded floor mat or zabuton, but you could use a folded rug or other soft mat for kneeling on.
